About Me

Hi! My name is Mikel Segal and I am a Physician and certified Health Coach. I believe that in order to live a long happy life you must have a holistic approach to your health. As well it is important to address any root cause of illness.

I have learned over the years working as a Family Physician that people need more help than the traditional medical model provides. In order to improve or maintain your well-being you need a whole person approach that optimizes mind, body and soul. There is an enormous amount of scientific evidence now that supports the benefit of certain lifestyle behaviours in overall health.

As a former candy and sugar addict with aging parents and 2 young kids, I have a strong personal interest in preventative and integrative health and longevity. I have spent the past few years expanding my knowledge in this area and I would love to be able to share with you what I have learned and help you on your journey to feeling and staying your best! I believe in progress over perfection – You just need a few small steps in the right direction to experience a great benefit.

I hold a certification of International Anti-Aging Fellowship through the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine and I am a member of the American College of Lifestyle Medicine. I am a certified Health Coach through the National Society of Health Coaches.
