You do not need a referral to have a message here at ProActive Rehab whether you are coming for a specific treatment/injury or for relaxation. Keep in mind if you have extended health benefits, some insurance companies will require a referral from your doctor to reimburse you. Most extended health care plans will cover massage therapy from a Registered Massage Therapist, as we are considered health care providers in Ontario. It is best practice to check your benefits package for details on coverage and whether you need a referral before your massage appointment.
