Your Healthy Body gives many, many signs as to how it's responding to the foods that you're eating. It will always tell you what's going on and how it's effecting your health. The trick is to learn how to listen to it, and how to respond back by adjusting what you're eating to balance out what your Healthy Body truly needs more of or less of to function optimally.

Learning how to listen and respond to the signs your Healthy Body gives you!

Your Healthy Body gives many, many signs as to how it’s responding to the foods that you’re eating. It will always tell you what’s going on and how it’s effecting your health. The trick is to learn how to listen to it, and how to respond back by adjusting what you’re eating to balance out what your Healthy Body truly needs more of or less of to function optimally. 

The Following is my guide for easily interpreting your Healthy Body’s signals to be able to fine tune how you are eating to bring your Healthy Body into balance. 

What happens when you’re eating properly for your metabolic type?

  • Generally feel happy
  • General sense of well being
  • Ideal blood pressure
  • Ideal ratio of HDL/LDL cholesterol
  • You’re able to handle stress well
  • Good energy that lasts between meals
  • Good mental focus and clarity of thought
  • No cravings
  • Optimal response to exercise 
  • Optimal over all health! 

Here is how your Healthy Body will respond to too much carbohydrate (simple carbs and high glycemic index foods)

Short Term Responses:

What you will feel within 1-3 hours of eating if you’ve eaten too many carbohydrates (no eyes food) for your individual metabolic type.

  • Headache
  • Anxiety
  • Don’t feel satisfied /get hungry quickly again
  • May crave fat and/or protein
  • Jumpy mind, unable to concentrate

How to balance this out right away!:

When you feel these sensations, here is what you can do immediately to balance out your Healthy Body.

  • Increase water intake
  • Avoid Alcohol
  • Choose fatty, low glycemic (low sugar content & conversion) dessert
  • Avoid coffee, espresso or tea
  • Exercise
  • Avoid sports drinks
  • Eat a high protein/fat snack

How to balance this out right away!:

When you feel these sensations, here is what you can do immediately to balance out your Healthy Body.

  • Eat high glycemic fruits
  • Choose light desserts
  • Healthy coffee, espresso or tea will lift (must be before 2:30pm)
  • Eat rice, potatoes, more healthy grains (gluten free!)
  • Use digestive enzymes

General Tips:

  • Eat a variety of foods
  • Get to sleep no later than 10:30pm
  • Know your metabolic type and eat accordingly
  • Drink 1/2 of your Healthy Body weight (pounds) in ounces of water per day.
  • Avoid all processed foods
  • Eat organic!
  • Alternate resistance and aerobic exercise
  • Work hard, rest hard!
  • Sleep 8 hours each night
