Plantar Fasciitis and you

What is Planar Fasciitis?

Plantar Fasciitis or Heel Spurs, as they are better known as essentially an outcome of overuse or misuse. The commonest cause being the constant pounding on a hard surface as happens when playing a sport or attending aerobics sessions without proper shoes. This usually begins with a minor pain which gets worse while taking the first few steps in the morning or when getting up from a sitting position. Those who neglect these symptoms would invariably find the pain becoming chronic.

Plantar Fascia is simply a band of tissue which attaches the heel bone to the base of the toes. During periods of extreme physical stress or activities like running and jumping the ligament gets inflamed. Prevention and treatment is simple considering that under an expert chiropodist’s medical supervision undertaking some specific exercises and using some specific medicines those with Plantar Fasciitis would find remarkable recovery.
