Orthotic adjustments

Is it normal to make adjustments to my foot orthotics?

For some conditions it is important to make gradual improvements over time to help reduce initial break-in pain or discomfort. This is especially true when making corrections to improper foot alignment when degenerative changes exist. It is important to choose an accredited orthotic provider who has the capacity to make regular adjustments when required. Adjustments often include making changes to the orthotics angles of correction and adding cushioning. Your orthotics should be comfortable to wear and help to resolve the initial problem without creating any new problems.  Orthotic therapy can be a key element to your overall health care program by helping to ease pain and increasing mobility, but only if they are comfortable and fitting properly.
