As a registered massage therapist, Amy is first and foremost interested in a positive therapeutic alliance with her clients. Her practice is thorough, evidence-based, patient-centred and trauma-informed. Aware that our nervous system mediates all of our experiences, she believes it should be considered in all interactions.
Described as compassionate, calm and conscientious, Amy has particular interest in abdominal massage, pre/postnatal massage, massage to support students, neurological conditions and injuries of the hands and feet.
Using massage to support recovery from injury, to deal with on-going conditions, and to manage the stress of life is truly inspiring for Amy. She demonstrates clear passion for promoting physical and mental well-being through massage, movement and body awareness.
Amy completed her Diploma of Massage & Hydrotherapy at the Victoria campus of the West Coast College of Massage Therapy. To date her continuing education includes: -Yoga Therapy for RMTs -Chronic Pain Management for RMTs -Gender Diversity in the workplace/healthcare setting -Integrating a trauma-informed approach into routine physical therapy practice -Bladder health -Concussion management
