Our Revive Pilates Staff:

Director and owner:

Tania Facer is the proud owner, Director, and leader of Second Wind® Pilates Plus®, blessed by its founder to carry the torch into the future with zeal, innovation, and compassion. Tania started Pilates and Integrated Movement Therapies (IMT)® at Second Wind® Pilates Plus® nine years ago. From day one, she was hooked. Tania’s active Pilates practice and teaching throughout her three pregnancies quickly helped her recover her strength, trail-running, and racing. Tania is a great example of how a strong core is essential for the athlete and weekend warrior. Tania is also a Pre-Post Natal and Pilates for Runners instructor, as well as a Registered Holistic Nutritionist (R.H.N) through the Canadian School Of Natural Nutrition. Tania strives to empower others to pursue a healthy and dynamic lifestyle, both physically and nutritionally.

Office Manager:

Jane is the Office Manager of Second Wind® Pilates Plus® and one of the studio’s extraordinary instructors. Jane is a mother of three grown children and a grandmother. She first came to Second Wind® as a student 6 years ago for some “me” time. Discovering the difference that Pilates made to both her physical and mental well-being, she decided to pursue Certification.

Over the course of Jane’s life, she has worked as a medical lab technologist, full-time mom, school bus driver, retail manager, personal assistant and caregiver to her elderly mother. Jane brings sensitivity, compassion, and wisdom to her teaching. She has seen first-hand the positive benefits that proper posture, flexibility, and mobility can make in your life as you age.

Our Instructors:

Cristina Chaparro - Instructor:

Cristina came to Second Wind® Pilates Plus® with a background in theatre, where she first became fascinated with body awareness. She graduated from York University in 2007 with a BA in Theatre Studies and continues taking classes in acting, voice, and movement. After a quick dapple in the business world, attaining a Post-Graduate Certificate in Project Management, Cristina found Second Wind® Pilates Plus® where she fell in love with movement all over again.

A mother of one beautiful boy, Cristina is a Second Wind® Pilates Plus® certified instructor who feels blessed to be teaching at the studio with such a wonderful team of instructors and clients who truly inspire her. Cristina looks forward to continued learning and sharing of her knowledge and passion with others for many years to come.

Yuka Shimizu - Studio Instructor, Pilates & Yoga:

Striving to do more than just improve your downward dog, Yuka’s philosophy centers on enhanced functional movement for life-long mobility. A certified yoga instructor and practitioner for over a decade, Yuka combines Second Wind’s® Pilates and Integrated Movement therapies (IMT)® training with her extensive Ashtanga and Iyengar yoga background to help people transform their alignment, strength, and lives.
Yuka currently practices Ashtanga yoga with internationally recognized instructor Maty Ezraty, seasonally training in the U.S. with the founder of Yoga Works and one of the first Westerners to study under Sri K. Pattabhi Jois and B. K. S. Iyengar.
