Our Services

Bio-identical Hormone Therapy

Adequate hormone levels are necessary for the normal rejuvenation and regeneration processes of the body. As we get older, our hormone levels decline, causing a reduction in energy and stamina. Bio-identical hormone therapy replaces the necessary hormones that your body is now producing at a slower rate, returning your body to optimal health.

Bodywork

Bodywork is a large part of the professional services at Health Momentum. Bodywork takes place during the visit and is a means of jump-starting the healing processes of the body. Bodywork of different forms is conducted and may include deep muscle relaxation, active release therapy or fascial flushing.

Hormone Balancing

Bio-identical hormones are produced from plants and precisely match the human hormones made naturally within the body. The difference between Bio-identical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT) and Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) is that HRT is comprised of synthetic and/or animal derived hormones that are not structurally identical to your own natural hormones. HRT has also been linked to serious side-effects such as breast cancer and blood clots. BHRT has a long history of safe and successful use, specifically in Europe where it has been used for over 60 years.

Clinical Nutrition

Good nutrition is the foundation for healing health ailments and for promoting lasting wellness. What we put into our bodies on a regular basis provides the building blocks for our cells and tissues. The naturopathic doctors at Health Momentum focus on dietary advice that is realistic and enjoyable for any busy schedule.

Detoxification

Detoxification can be incredibly beneficial for the revitalization and rejuvenation of the body. Strict fasting programs or quick fix solutions do not address the root cause of an issue and can create more problems in the long term term. Gentle detoxification through diet and supplements are a more effective way of creating profound changes that will last.

Herbs and Nutritional Supplements

Many over-the-counter, natural products, purchased at health food stores or pharmacies have not undergone standardized testing, therefore, the efficacy of these vitamins and herbs can vary greatly depending on the quality of the manufacturing. All the professional supplements prescribed by Naturopathic Doctors have undergone rigorous quality control. These supplements are therefore more effective at bringing about symptoms relief.

Exercise/Fitness Accountability

When you exercise, your body releases ‘feel-good’ chemicals called endorphins. These endorphins interact with the receptors in your brain, boosting energy and improving overall wellbeing.

Osteopathy

Osteopathy is a natural and gentle hands-on therapy that treats the individual as an integrated whole. Its aim is to restore balance and function to the body through various therapeutic manual techniques. These techniques are performed with a very refined sense of touch developed over years of training and practice.

Acupuncture

When acupuncture points are stimulated, a cascade of calming hormones within the body is released. In a healthy person, energy moves freely throughout energy channels called “meridians” in the body. In the ill person, these channels become blocked. Acupuncture works to restore health by improving the natural flow and balance among these pathways.

Vitamin B12 injection

B12 injections increase cellular energy in a safe and effective manner in people suffering from fatigue or other generalized symptoms. Oral supplements are another option however, do not normally work as quickly or as effectively as injections. Dr. Cecilia de Martino, ND is the injection specialist at Health Momentum.

Stress Management

Stress is often the root cause of many health concerns. Stress management techniques improve many aspects of health by encouraging muscle relaxation, good sleeping patterns, detoxification, and neurological balance.

Allergy & Food Sensitivity Testing

Rocky Mountain Analytical is the accredited medical laboratory that is used at Health Momentum to determine which foods you are sensitive or allergic to. Rocky Mountain Laboratories test hormone levels, food reactions and environmental toxins so that patients can safely avoid possible unknown allergens that could be weakening them on a daily basis.

Clinical Psychologist

Counseling involves helping people make needed changes in ways of thinking, feeling, and behaving. It is a goal-based collaborative process, involving a qualified, non-judgmental and supportive counsellor.

Homeopathy

Homeopathy is a system of medicine which involves treating the individual with non addictive, natural substances, with the aim of triggering the body’s natural system of healing.

Massage Therapy

Massage benefits the body both physically and mentally. Whether you utilize massage for prevention, preservation or recovery each treatment is customized to fit the body’s needs.

About Us

The most successful form of symptom relief is achieved when the patient is supported by a collaborative, multidisciplinary health team. The skilled practitioners at Health Momentum work carefully with each patient to develop an individualized and comprehensive treatment plan. With compassion and support, each individual is equipped with tools to help them take charge of their health and transform their life.
