Rather than suppressing the existing symptoms, my goal is to use the symptoms like puzzle pieces to solve the ultimate puzzle: the root cause.
As a Naturopathic Physician, I am trained to care for patients of all different ages and can address a wide range of health concerns. However, my approach extends to a particular passion for mental health and mind-body medicine. My personal and professional philosophy is grounded in connection and balance. I believe that the human body and mind will function optimally when there is a connection to self, to others, to nature, as well as balance in the body and in life.
Through my life experiences, education and training, I have developed a unique set of skills to help people connect to themselves, feel more magic in their lives, and to ultimately live a more aligned life. I have come to learn that my most challenging moments have actually been gifts that now allow me to approach each patient visit uniquely and view each patient through a compassionate lens.
My perspective on achieving optimal health is to restore the connection between mind and body, create balance, stimulate the healing power within and treat the underlying cause of dis-ease. The symptoms that people exhibit are warning signs that something is not functioning properly in the body. My focus is always on the patient as an individual, factoring in their physiological, psychological, social, spiritual, structural environment and lifestyle factors.
Patient-centered care is central in my work, meaning the focus is on individual patient needs. My plans are individualized and I always try my best to meet the patient where they are at.
