What is the difference between a Chiropractor and an Osteopath?

Both our professions work to help the body to balance

To speak about the difference between chiropractors and osteopaths it is interesting to explain what is common. Both our professions work to help the body to balance addressing the neurological system.

The difference is that Chiros do it essentially through the central system, spine when we treat the whole systems. We can address a back pain for example through direct techniques (adjustments like chiropractors but more gentle), visceral techniques (ligament connections, vascular ...), cranial techniques, fascia’s, fluids and energy.
And just speaking about adjustments, chiro adjustments are mostly joint techniques, high velocity, and low motion (relatively), our techniques in high velocity are very low motion, high velocity, but mainly at a muscle energy level; kind of to release the restriction around the joint and the joint, instead only the joint.

We do regional preparation (soft tissue release, fascia’s, cranial...) and after the technique, we integrate what we did, mainly with cranial local or central techniques.
As long we work with a similar vision and target, chiropractic and osteopathy are actually very complementary.
