This Fresh Green Smoothie has the perfect name - it is super fresh and light with a dash of mint and a touch of sweetness. It is not as thick as a typical smoothie and is almost more of a juice - I like to have it for breakfast with a side of apple and almond butter or take it to go with a Super Seed & Nut Square.
It also makes a perfect, light and energizing afternoon snack!
This smoothie is more like a juice when blended. If you would prefer it a bit more creamy you can add 1/2 an avocado or frozen banana.
You can amp up the protein by putting in a scoop of vanilla protein powder or adding an extra tablespoon of hemp or pumpkin seeds.
Blend everything together in the order they are listed in a high speed blender until well combined.
Kim is passionate about teaching others how to eat mindfully and live vibrantly. A series of chronic health issues gave her the motivation to learn about the relationship between her health and her diet. She founded Picky Diet to share this with the world so that they might realize that they too can live happy and healthy with only a few small changes. A graduate of the Health and Nutrition Coaching program from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, she is a Board Certified Integrative Health & Nutrition Coach and works with both individuals and corporations on nutrition and whole-body wellness.
