Percussive therapies, including Vibration Therapy, are clinical treatments that involve the application of a vibration, which could be generated manually or through the use of a device, such as a “thumper”.
Vibration therapies relax muscles and promote increased circulation in ways similar to deep tissue massage. Any therapy, including these, will have some associated risks that must be assessed in relationship to a person’s general level of health and their specific concerns.
Percussive therapies are used for conditions characterized by tight muscles and/or reduced circulation.
