What happens during a Spectra™ treatment?
On treatment day you can expect your treatment to follow these steps:
- Skin is thoroughly cleansed.
- Next a thin layer of carbon lotion is applied over the entire treatment area.
- Once the lotion dries and particles have had a chance to set into the skin, the technician will utilize the Spectra™ Q-switched 1064 laser to vaporize the lotion and heat up the outermost layers of the skin.
- Once all carbon particles have disappeared, the treatment area is cleansed, and followed by a patient appropriate mask.
- Serum, client appropriate moisture and sunscreen finish the process.
With virtually no pain or downtime, a list of skin concerns can be addressed in one single 15 minute session. For clients with more problematic skin, they may require 2-3 sessions.
